She's got bangs!

I was absent last Friday. I had sore throat, headache, body pains and slight fever. Yesterday, I decided to spruce up my new mom look and lift my (sleep-deprived) spirit. I needed hair makeover to boost my look and my outlook!

I got tired of my waist length hair. I always wear it on pony tails thus making my hair limp, lank and lifeless!

I realized that I don't have a solo picture with my long hair! except for this:

My loving hubby sent me to salon with the baby. He believed that deep conditioning or rebonding and a good cut can help restore my locks (and my faith in mankind...LOL!). I gave up coloring my hair all those months ago and haven't had the time (or the energy) to tend my roots,so maybe I'll just be contented with my black, shiny hair. After four hours of waiting (hubby and the baby slept on the couch while the hairdresser do my hair while I'm snoozing!), here's the result:

Ooops..sorry..this is not me.Actually, I'm dreaming to have my hair curled but change on the last minute because I realized that having curly hair is only good at first but I couldn't maintain it coz I have to tie it again when I'm in school so I decided to cut it short and have fringes or bangs!

and again I don't have solo picture with this...LOL! and you know why...

I tried for the first time having straight bangs , combed straight down right above the brow line to soften prominent facial features like sharper chins and larger forehead areas.

Bangs have been a great way of changing and creating different hairstyles. Rather or not to add bangs to a hairstyle can make a huge difference as some hairstyles look great without bangs or fringes and other hairstyles look lost without the addition of some bangs. How about mine? Does it create or destroy me?...LOL!

Bathroom vanities for you and for me

Yesterday, we went to Carrefour Department store and I can't help visiting their display of modern bathrooms with Bathroom Vanities. In our future bathroom, I desire to have stylish storage like one below:

I saw this style while surfing the internet. Potente Modern Bathroom Vanity is elegant with sea blue counters and chrome hardware make this vanity ideal for anyone aiming for simplicity after leaving the hustle and bustle of an afternoon work, isn't it? This will surely make our future master bathroom clutter-free and also add everlasting charm. Bathroom Vanities truly makes a Comfort Room a real comfort room. What can you say?

Blog List

I'm posting the partial list of who's who in my blog list. The blogs that remain at my sidebar will be added shortly. The internet connection we have today is so slow that I couldn't blog hop and leave comments. Please bear with me. I'm not also feeling well today. In fact, I called our school at the 11th hour that I couldn't make it. My "monthly visitor" is here and it causes me tummy cramps alongside with sore throat and slight fever.

Teacher Jenny wears eyeglasses too!

It was on year 2006 that I finally decided to visit an optometrist. I've been suffering frequent headaches or migraines that don't have any association with allergies, illness any other form of injury or ailment . I'm overly sensitive to light and my eyes feel weak and tired in what seems to be a shorter time period after participating in things like reading or viewing a computer screen. I wanted to know from the optometrist if corrective lenses might be the answer to my problem.

I have 20/40 vision in one eye, and 20/50 in the other. The doctor recommended correctional eyeglasses for me. With the eyeglasses,there's a chance that it will get better, even back to 20/20! By the way, if you have 20/40 vision, it means that when you stand 20 feet away from the chart you can see what a normal human can see when standing 40 feet from the chart.

I spent almost $200 for my glasses lens and frames! If I only knew that I could buy online as low as $ 8 Rx eyeglasses at ZenniOptical.com, I would choose to buy online. With the amount I spent on my eyeglasses, I could already own multiple fashionable eyeglasses to match my different outfits!

So far, these are my favorite high fashion eyeglasses for a sassy teacher on the go!

Before I forget, I want to share to you something that I learned from How You Can Start Spending Smart. Greg Karp, author of Living Rich by Spending Smart advised his readers to "Go Online for a Better Bottom Line". Maybe it's time to order a pair of Rx eyeglasses for my father.

Our Future Waste Manager

We planned before to invite my younger sister who just finished Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management to teach here in Thailand but she graciously declined . She decided to help our mother in our preschool ministry first before she'll venture other career opportunities in government and non-government sectors or industries, environmental laboratories, publication houses for environmental journals, research and development department, waste and pollution control department, local authorities concerning environment, universities or schools, consultancy companies regarding environmental issues, energy generation industry, environment protection and planning industries, quality control department and regarding areas.

I know my sis will have a bright future in her chosen career. With a bachelors degree in Environmental Management she can be hired as:

* Environmental Scientist
* Environment Manager or Advisor
* Teacher
* Quality Control Manager
* Environment Writer
* Researcher or Analyst
* Environment Counselor
* Waste Manager or Pollution Control Officer

You know with the last job featured as a "Waste Manager" we usually tease her that if she happens to be like that it is a job one step higher than a garbage collector...he..he..It's just a joke but don't you know without the garbage collectors, our city will smell like skunks!...LOL! Kidding aside, if it happens that she'll become a Waste Manager or Pollution Control Officer in the coming days I hope that she'll lead the waste Management industry adopt new technologies such as Radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags, Mapping & GPS and integrated software packages which enable better quality data to be collected without the use of estimation or manual data entry.

* Technologies like RFID tags are now being used to collect data on presentation rates for curb-side pick-ups which is useful when examining the usage of recycling bins or similar.

* Benefits of Mapping & GPS tracking is particularly evident when considering the efficiency of ad hoc pick-ups (like skip bins or dumpsters) where the collection is done on a consumer request basis.

* Integrated software packages are useful in aggregating this data for use in optimization of operations for waste collection operations.

Make way for our own "Waste Manager"!

What's the most expensive watch you've seen so far?

When we went to Bangkok last year and visited Siam Paragon, I thought that I saw with my two little eyes the most expensive watch with the price tag of 1, 990,000 baht.

Have you seen a watch which you thought so far is the most expensive in the world? I've searched for the most expensive watch in the world and the Chopard 201-carat Watch with a price tag of $25 million (850,340,125.97 THB) emerged as the most expensive!

chopard Time Is Money: 10 Of The Worlds Most Expensive Watches

photo source here

This watch by Chopard features three heart-shaped diamonds, the pink weighs 15 carats, the blue weighs 12 carats and the white weighs 11 carats. They are set in a bracelet encrusted with clusters of white pear-shaped diamonds arrange in flower motifs, with a yellow diamond standing up from the center of each. Total caratweight of the white and yellow diamonds is 163 carats, while the total caratweight of the watch is 201 carats. The watch has a spring-loaded mechanism which, when pressed, allows the three heart shapes to mechanically open up, much the way the petals of a flower will in the sunshine. The watch face, pavé-set with small round yellow diamonds, is exposed from underneath the heart-shaped diamonds.

Does this watch justify the price? What do you think?

Even if I'm lying on golds, still I'm hesitant to buy a luxurious watch like this. I could use the money to help the less fortunates and feed the hungry children in Somalia. I would rather buy then one of the most popular watches in the world-ROLEX!

Word of caution: There are numerous fake Rolex watches on the market, both online and on the streets. It is important to be careful about the type of fake Rolex watches you purchase. Many companies have invested a great deal of time and money into manufacturing mock Rolex watches that are difficult to distinguish from the original or real counterparts. Many watch enthusiasts now have the advantage of buying and wearing fake Rolex watches that look like the real thing. No-one would ever know they purchased these wonderful watches at a much lower rate. Why not visit www.bestoftime.com? Best of Time offers genuine Rolex watches at substantial discounts to the manufacturer's suggested retail price. Their prices are incredible for bringing the world’s best luxury Rolex watches, due to the fact that they receive their Rolex watches in specific quantities and they have a very low markup so the savings is passed directly to you!

All of their Rolex watches are 100% genuine and authentic with serial numbers. They sell like-new and pre-owned Rolex watches with brand new genuine Rolex boxes and GIA member appraisal papers. Best of Time aka Alex Jewelry are proud members of BBB, Better Business Bureau and hold the highest form of recognition. They are an official accredited business by BBB, Better Business Bureau with an exceptional A+ RATING the highest possible rating a business can get! All their ROLEX Watches are 100% Genuine Certified & Authentic with a 3 year warranty and free FedEx shipping.

If I have to make a choice, I would choose this beautiful Rolex Ladies Date-just Watch with a stunning Pink Mother of Pearl Diamond Dial and Diamond-Ruby Bezel. How about you?

Check out the price:

Retail Price: $9,300.00

www.bestoftime.com Price: $4,299.95

Check out this promo:

With my present financial status, even though I will save about $6, 000.05 in purchasing this beautiful watch , I still couldn't afford to buy this one! Maybe I'll just have to wait the 70% sale of City Chain in Carrefour...LOL!

The Power of a Praying Wife

The trials and pressures of modern life can make the prospect of a fulfilled, meaningful marriage seem impossible. In The Power of a Praying Wife, popular Christian author and speaker Stormie Omartian pinpoints common marital struggles and reveals the miraculous way that disciplined prayer can alleviate heartache and sustain unity. According to Omartian, a marriage's success depends upon "laying down all claim to power in and of yourself, and relying on God's power to transform you, your husband, your circumstances, and your marriage." Omartian attributes the success of her own 25-year marriage to dedicated prayer for every area--however specific--of her husband's life; from his finances and his work to his integrity and his temptations. Each chapter offers insight into areas that are especially important to men, followed by "power tools" (inspiring, topical Scripture) to guide one's prayer life and transform a woman's mind with regard to her husband. This practical read will encourage women to trust God to change their spouse, and undoubtedly refocus one's perspective on God's power rather than one's own personal predicament. --Jill Heatherly

I've been reading this book since I got married. Though I finished reading it, I can't help reading over and over again for I'm blessed of what the author shares on how I as a wife can develop a deeper relationship with my husband by praying for him. This book is packed with practical advice on praying for specific areas, including decision–making, fears, spiritual strength, and sexuality, this book helps women discover the fulfilling marriage God intended.

Now, a dear friend Seiko tag me with what is dubbed as the "Book tag" with the following rules:

1. Collect the book that you have most handy

2. Turn to page 161

3. Find the 5th complete sentence

4. Cite the sentence on your blog

5. Pass it on to 5 other victims (Oops! bloggers)

Page 161, 5th sentence says "Don't stand by and watch your husband be manipulated by his emotions". Can I include 6th sentence to finish the thought? Here is it "Freedom may just be a prayer away". There you go.

Here are my victims...LOL!
1.Hazel
2.Laine
3. Rose
4. Shy
5. Kikamz

Jump for Pehpot

When we're having our unplanned getaway, I asked my lil bro to take a shot of me doing a JUMP coz I haven't one yet. The result is a complete disaster! It could be perfect only when I had my head on! LOL!

Just this morning my bro and his wife were having fun taking photos. My bro made crazy moves that makes us all have a good hard laugh. I then try to ask him if he could jump for pehpot. I actually didn't expect him to say YES to my request coz he's quite reserved when it comes to this but when he agreed I immediately let him jump and I took a shot before he'll changed his mind!

This is my bro doing a jump for pehpot. If you notice, even in jumping my bro is still bringing Thailand's signature: "Wai" (Thai's greeting indicated by pressing your palms together near your chest and bowing ) and Buddha's position.

How about you? Why don't you jump for pehpot too?

Tuesday Couch Potato No.1- Favorite Husband and Wife Movie

It's my first time to join Tuesday Couch Potato meme hosted by Kikamz. Thanks for the invitation sis. Since I discovered blogging, I seldom watch movies but I couldn't forget "TAKEN" which my hubby and I agreed that it's the best action movie we've seen so far.We couldn't let go of its jaw-dropping action sequences.

It's a story about a former spy that relies on his old skills to save his estranged daughter, who has been forced into the sex-slave trade. I assure you, I like the ending and the daughter wasn't "touched". The actor of this movie, Liam Neeson, isn't that famous like the actors in James Bond and Jason Bourne but the taste of his handy work around ten minutes of the thriller impressed me much. My mom watched this and she didn't get sleepy and 93 minutes passed swiftly without noticing it. My bro who appreciates action movie once in a blue moon couldn't help applauding after the film...LOL! Neeson was great, and I can't wait to see the movie many more times. It's worth the money to see this in the big screen. One commenter said, "Neeson is the vodka of James Bond's martini". I agree with him.

I couldn't forget this scenario when Neeson was talking on the phone after his daughter was kidnapped , he said "I don't know who you are, but if you don't let my daughter go, I will find you, I will kill you (in a composed voice)" and then the kidnapper replied "Good luck". He recorded this conversation and HE INDEED FIND THIS MAN!

Have you seen this movie? Better watch it for yourself and tell me what you think. Happy viewing.

If you have movies to share better join us in Tuesday Couch Potato or just click the meme's banner.

The comeback of the "accidental singer"...

After almost a year since I "lie low" onstage with my "singing career"..LOL!..God made a way that He could use me again in leading the Praise and Worship team last Sunday.

I've been involved in the P and W Filipino team before (our schedule is usually every second Sunday of the month but the schedule is flexible depending on the availability of our team or any church activities) I temporarily stopped being "onstage" since I'm 4 months preggy. I'm happy and contented just being on the background like preparing the songs, reminding the P and W of our schedules and supporting the group in prayer.

Last Saturday, the lead singer is not available so my bro asked me to lead and told me that my SIL will take care of Hyzyd. Well, if the work is for God I really couldn't say NO. I love God and I wanted to do the best for Him. I let my bro promised to back me up since I haven't yet practice my vocal chords to the highest level...LOL!...So, it's settled after my bro and hubby assured me that they'll support me and my bro is the one who prepared the line-up.

1. New Doxology- Praise God
2. Open the eyes of my heart Lord
3. Friend of God
4. I'm trading my sorrows
5. Jesus, Lover of My Soul
6. Lord, I give you my heart

You can click on the link if you wanted to listen to the songs . You'll surely be blessed as much as these songs blessed my weary soul.

During the practice:

My hubby is the drummer...

My bro is the guitarist as well as our music director...he..he...

Sorry guys...I'm giving you my back- too engrossed with my "singing career"...LOL!

During the Sunday Worship:

Psalm 100, verses 1-5:

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! 2 Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

To God be the glory! I believe that amidst the language barrier, still we're united in one voice praising our Almighty God in Spirit and truth. He's really working in our midst and everyone is blessed by God.

I wanna thank my sis-in-law (in black maternity dress) and Ate Yheng (in pink three-fourth blouse) for taking care of baby Hyzyd during the practice and service.

I give all thanks and glory to our God alone. He deserves all praises, respect and honor! I love you Lord!
